Robert Katende is the Founder and Director of SOM Chess Academy, widely known as the Home of the Queen of Katwe project. Through this initiative, he has demonstrated how a simple game like chess can become a powerful tool for social change. Working primarily with underprivileged children in Uganda, he teaches not only strategy, but also discipline, critical thinking, and hope.
